The Oyo south senatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, has intensified his grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general election, taking his campaign to residents, traders and business operators across parts of Ibadan.
The campaign, in the latest phase of its street level engagement, has combined door-to-door consultations with residents in the Adeoyo axis and visits to major commercial centres, including Molete Under-Bridge Market, Bode Market, Adedibu Market and Iwo Road Electronics Market.
The engagements are aimed at taking Odidiomo’s message directly to the people and grassroots stakeholders across the Oyo south senatorial district.
At the various markets, Hon.Adedeji Olajide Odidiomo engaged traders and other operators on the challenges affecting their businesses and livelihoods, with the campaign focusing on practical issues surrounding infrastructure, economic activities and community development.
At the Iwo Road Electronics Market, where he met members of the traders’ association, discussions focused on concerns including lighting and water supply, with Odidiomo announcing a 5 million naira support for the association and also consented to the traders’ request for a borehole.
The grassroots campaign is also being used by the APM candidate to present his proposed development agenda for Oyo south senatorial district, which is anchored on education and skills development, agriculture, healthcare, technology, employment, infrastructure, including a proposed ICT hub in each of the nine local government areas, an agriculture empowerment and value-chain programme for Ibarapa and plans to facilitate a Federal Medical Centre for the district.
