David Ibiyeomie, the Pastor of Salvation Ministries, has cautioned against collecting money from senior pastors, stating that it is unscriptural and could hinder one’s prosperity.
In a viral video addressing his congregation, Ibiyeomie emphasized the importance of giving to senior pastors instead of receiving from them.
According to him, sowing into the lives of senior ministers attracts blessings and opens doors for greater prosperity. “May I tell you one raw truth? It may be hard, but never collect money from a senior man of God.
You are reducing your blessing,” he said. Citing his personal experience, Ibiyeomie stated that despite facing challenges, he has never sought financial assistance from his spiritual mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo.
“I’ll be the last person to collect a dime from Oyedepo, not because challenges have not come. That’s not how it works,” he explained.
He further urged his followers to embrace the principle of giving to senior pastors as a way of drawing virtue for advancement. “There are senior men to me today, and I can sow into their lives.
But I will not go and say, ‘Pastor Femi, can you please help me?’ It’s not scriptural. Don’t collect money from a senior man; you are reducing your prosperity. Sow into the senior man to draw virtue for the next level,” he added.

Can you imagine, you want people to sow into your life, but you don’t want to sow into others life, you want to collect it and spend it alone, imagine, anyway you are talking to mumu people.
Is it not evil and prideful not to seek help from your senior when you have need, and where is it written in the Bible the Senior Pastors should not bless their subordinates or members financially and materially? Does this not sound selfish and unscriptural, Christ our perfect example did not just pray for people, He also gave, He fed people with His Word and with food, if I can’t approach you to say Senior Pastor my family is going through a lot, please help us, then what businesses do you have in my life? Christ has not called us to be task masters but to be healers and Saviours, if you are not saving or healing, it means you are doing the opposite, indeed the God of mammon is now in charge in the life of many “Senior” Pastors, wolves instead of shepherds, vultures on the Pulpit. This is definitely not Christianity
