A woman has been left terrified to step outside her home after a bizarre man wearing a devil mask was captured knocking on her door by a Ring doorbell camera.
The masked figure was seen wearing a red ‘goat’ attire holding a disturbing cardboard sign which read Revelation 20: 1-15, which alludes to the biblical prophecy about ‘Judgment Day’.
In the video, the man is seen approaching her driveway and ringing the bell, all while gazing intently at the camera with their spine-chilling sign on display. It then vanished into the night.
The homeowner, from Carrollton, near Dallas, Texas, thankfully was not home during the eerie episode, which happened at approximately 8pm but witnessed the entire ordeal through her Ring app. She told CBS News: “I’m scared… I’m scared to leave the house. I’m scared to be at the house.”
“My husband and I had gone out to dinner, and then we had stopped off at the store to pick up a Powerball ticket and I was waiting in the car for him and my Ring notification went off… The person popped up on the video with that goat’s mask on and they were approaching my door.
“It’s about the end of times. It’s about judgment day. I freaked out. I mean I was… I couldn’t even think of anything.”
The eerie mask she encountered is believed to symbolise Baphomet, an occult figure historians say may have been venerated by the enigmatic Knights Templar around 1300, famed for their role in the Crusades. The Bible excerpt in question, from Revelation 20: 1-15, vividly depicts the moment ‘satan’ is ensnared and cast into an abyss by an angel.
The homeowner said after sharing the video online, it sparked a wave of concern from viewers who contacted her to express their anxieties.
“From my post, a lot of people are saying they would probably shoot the person. I wish it were fake because it has really affected me.” She added.
In response to the alarming incident, the local police have announced an increase in patrols in the area.
