United States President, Donald Trump, has claimed that Iran apologised to neighbouring countries in the Middle East after what he described as sustained military pressure from the US and Israel.
Trump, in a post on Truth Social on Saturday, said Iran had been forced to retreat and promise not to attack its regional neighbours again following continued strikes by American and Israeli forces.
According to him, the pressure from the attacks left Iran weakened and compelled its leaders to change their approach toward countries in the region.
The US president argued that Iran had previously attempted to dominate the Middle East but was now facing defeat.
He described the situation as a historic setback for Iran, claiming it was the first time the country had suffered such a loss against neighbouring Middle Eastern states.
Trump also suggested that leaders in the region had expressed appreciation to him for the development, which he presented as a major shift in the balance of power in the Middle East.
He further warned that Iran could face even stronger military action. Trump said additional targets were being considered as part of possible future operations, stressing that such measures were being discussed because of what he called Iran’s conduct in the region.
The president added that Iran could face severe consequences, including the possibility of further destructive action, if the situation escalates.
He wrote, “Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore.
This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack. They were looking to take over and rule the Middle East. It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries.
“They have said, ‘Thank you President Trump.’ | have said, ‘You’re welcome!’ Iran is no longer the
‘Bully of the Middle East,’ they are, instead, ‘THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,’ and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!
“Today, Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
