GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that a popular content creator, Asher Kine has revealed he made a suicide attempt at 14.
Asher Kine, whose real name is Akinyemi Oluwaseun Omotayo, made the disclosure in an X post on Monday.
The revelation comes amid reports that blogger-turned-influence, Anda Damisa aka Lazy Writa, had died by suicide.
In an apparent suicide note shared on his Instagram page on Monday, Damisa expressed exhaustion with life, thanked friends and loved ones for their support over the years and suggested he no longer had the strength to continue.
The post has spread panic on social media.
Asher Kine, 27, suggested he has battled feelings of despondency for a long period.
However, he said he has continued to forge ahead despite the unpleasant feeling.
He said, “My first attempt to suicide was 2014, I was fourteen.
“Life hasn’t meant much to me for a looonnngggg time but I must say; be kinder, more respectful and treat the next person as a human being regardless of the situation.
“No idea why we’re here, but yeah, no wam. God be with us all.”
Asher Kine’s post has fuelled an online discussion centred on the meaning of life, indomitable will of the human spirit and hushed reflections on suicide.
