We Should Be Part Of Your Govt, We Worked For Your Election – Emami Tells Tinubu

An Itsekiri Chief, and All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain, Ayirimi Emami, yesterday met with President Bola Tinubu where he reminded him (Tinubu) that the Itsekiri of Delta State worked for him during the election and should be part of the government.

Chief Emami, who met with the President at the State House, Abuja, also noted that the issue of Warri Port has been a thing of concern which should be looked into with the necessary urgency.

Speaking to State House correspondents, after the closed-door meeting, Chief Emami said, “Like four, five months ago, I think, I was here to see Mr. President on certain issues that have to do with our area, that’s in Delta. So my coming here today is like a reminder to tell Mr. President, particularly the road from Omadino, passing through Gbaramatu to Ugborodo, and which they are actually working on.

“The President said he’s going to look at it, because when you work, you expect some dividends. Is that not so? As Itsekiri, we actually voted for Mr. President, so we expect that we need patronage to be part of the government. Our people need to be part of the government.”
