Nigerian streamer, Oderhowho Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, content creator Hamza Kolu, better known as Kolu, and members of their team were released on Thursday after settling a dispute with controversial singer Portable at a police station in Sango, Ogun State.
The issue began on Wednesday evening when Carter Efe, Kolu and their crew visited Portable at his Odogwu Bar.
According to reports, the visit was not announced. Portable then contacted police officers, saying he was concerned about his safety. This led to the temporary arrest of Carter Efe, Kolu and their team.
After their release, Portable confirmed in a video shared on his Instagram page that the issue had been resolved. He said the settlement happened after the intervention of a man he identified as Ija Omode, Oga of Destiny Record.
According to Portable, the police allowed Carter Efe, Kolu and their team to leave after an agreement was reached.
Even after the settlement, Portable expressed concerns about Kolu, who was previously signed to his Zeh Nation record label.
The singer said Kolu left the platform that introduced him to the entertainment scene in Lagos and later began working with Carter Efe.
Portable also spoke about Kolu Wahalaās relationship with his girlfriend, Chidinma, who had earlier been linked to another content creator known as 10 Naira.
The singer questioned her intentions and claimed that some women choose partners based on financial status.
