The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students Engagement, Hon. Sunday Asefon has congratulated Ewi of Ado, Oba (Dr.) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, the Ewi-in-Council, APU, and all sons and daughters of Ado Ekiti on the successful celebration of the 2025 Udiroko Festival.
Asefon who conveyed the felicitations in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, said the gathering was a remarkable occasion and a true reflection of the unity, peace, and rich cultural heritage of people of the state.
Highlighting the significance of the festival, Asefon said Ado Ekiti, the capital city of Ekiti State, was literally shutdown as sons and daughters of Ado, both at home and in the diaspora, gathered to celebrate the Udiroko Festival (Odun Olorunborun) a festival that signifies the beginning of a new calendar year in Ado Ekiti.
“The festival was a grand occasion that brought together well-wishers and political dignitaries from across Nigeria, who joined in celebrating with the Ewi of Ado. It was a true reflection of our unity, peace, and rich cultural heritage.
“I heartily congratulate our father, the Ewi of Ado, Oba (Dr.) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, the Ewi-in-Council, APU, and all sons and daughters of Ado Ekiti on the successful celebration of the 2025 Udiroko Festival.”
