Security operatives have forcefully dragged out individuals from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caucus Meeting at the partyβs headquarters in Abuja, causing damage to party property.
The incident occurred at the National Executive Committee (NEC) hall, where the meeting was scheduled to be held.
Trouble began when two individuals, reported not to be official members of the NEC, refused to leave the venue after being asked to do so by PDP protocol officers.
As the confrontation escalated, security operatives intervened, physically ejecting the men from the hall. In the process, the glass entrance door to the NEC hall was shattered.
It remains unclear who the individuals were or why they insisted on staying inside the hall despite not being recognised as part of the official caucus.
The development comes amid a serious leadership crisis rocking the PDP.
GISTSMATE MEDIA earlier reported that the former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Bauchi State Governor and PDP Governorsβ Forum Chairman Bala Mohammed, and other key party leaders arrived at the Wadata Plaza for the meeting.
It is understood that state chairmen of the party are also in attendance at the meeting.
