VIDEO: Security Personnel Arrests ‘Sule Yellow’, Notorious Bandit Flaunting Ransom On TikTok

Nigerian security forces have arrested a notorious bandit leader popularly known online as Sule Yellow, whose activities on social media, particularly TikTok, had drawn widespread outrage after he openly flaunted kidnapping operations and ransom payments during livestreams.

Sule Yellow, who operated the TikTok account @Suleyellow6, was apprehended by Nigerian Army following intensified efforts to track down bandit groups that have been terrorising communities and carrying out kidnappings for ransom.

The suspect had become widely known after appearing in a viral TikTok livestream on March 4, 2026, where he was seen alongside another bandit identified as Auta and other gang members.

During the livestream, the group discussed their criminal activities and boasted about ongoing kidnapping operations.

In a video, Sule Yellow was seen handcuffed and surrounded by soldiers while being interrogated about weapons allegedly used by his gang.

During the questioning, an officer asked him where he kept his rifles.

Responding, the suspect said, “It is in Rijano and with Dogo, one is in our house right now. I know where you can meet Dogo, he’s at home.”

The security personnel also asked the suspect to confirm the username he used on TikTok.

He replied, “Sale Ibrahim.”

At one point in the footage, a soldier could be heard in the background confirming that the suspect was one of the bandits who had been openly displaying weapons and ransom money on TikTok.

The soldier said, “Do you see this guy? He was the one on TikTok displaying online. We thank God that today we apprehend him.”

In the video, security operatives also displayed a polythene bag believed to contain ransom money, allegedly recovered in connection with a recent kidnapping operation carried out by the group.

One of the officers said while showing the bag, “We’ll clear your doubt today. You see the polythene bag, it is money. They have already kidnapped someone.”

The arrest is believed to be part of ongoing operations by Nigerian security forces targeting armed bandit groups responsible for kidnappings, killings, and attacks on rural communities, particularly in the northern parts of the country.

Bandits in recent years have increasingly used social media platforms, including TikTok, to intimidate communities, display weapons, and sometimes broadcast ransom negotiations, a trend that has raised serious concerns among security agencies and the public.

Authorities have not yet released an official statement detailing the full circumstances surrounding Sule Yellow’s arrest, the location where he was apprehended, or the identities of other gang members mentioned in the interrogation.
