Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, has declined a N30 million cash donation from Kebbi Governor Mohammed Nasir Idris.
The offer was made during a large outdoor crusade hosted by the church in Kebbi State.
A representative of the Governor, who was invited to speak at the event, publicly announced the donation to a cheering crowd, stating that the Governor was impressed by Pastor Enenche’s visit and directed the sum be given to support the programme.
In a video that has since gone viral, the representative emphasised that the money was available in cash and ready to be handed over immediately.
However, Pastor Enenche, clearly surprised by the gesture, politely turned down the offer.
While he acknowledged and appreciated the Governor’s generosity, he firmly stated that the church would not accept the money.
Instead, he recommended that the funds be redirected to an orphanage or any other charitable cause of the governor’s choosing.
The Governor’s representative responded by commending Pastor Enenche for his humility, integrity, and dedication to the work of God.
