A young Nigerian man identified locally as “Best” reportedly attempted suicide by drinking bleach (Hypo) in Sapele, Delta State, after his girlfriend allegedly ended their relationship.
According to videos circulating on social media, the man recorded himself shortly before the incident. In the footage, he appeared visibly distressed.
Following the incident, he was reportedly taken to a medical facility for emergency care. His status has not been publicly updated in subsequent reports.
A separate clip later showed people gathered around him, including a woman believed to be connected to him, weeping at the scene.
This event sparked widespread conversation on social media regarding the importance of mental health support and the emotional impact of personal relationships.
