VIDEO: Eyo Festival Returns With Colourful Procession In Lagos

The Eyo festival, popularly known as the Adamu Orisha Play, kicked off with vibrant processions as residents, visitors, and spectators poured into Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, on Saturday for the 2025 edition.

According to Channels TV, President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi, will be among the distinguished guests, alongside Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Kadri Hamzat, to grace today’s event.

The Eyo Festival, which last held in 2017, is famous for its white-clad masquerades, rhythmic chants, and energetic dances rooted in Yoruba symbolism.

A cultural treasure of Lagos, the festival ranks among the nation’s most recognisable traditional events.
