Two Female Journalists Arrested Over Video Of Clash At APC National Chairman Mother’s Funeral

Two female journalists working with Jay FM in Jos, Plateau State, have been reportedly arrested by security agents over a video showing a face-off involving a cleric and some security operatives during the funeral service of the mother of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.

According to Jay FM in a post on its Facebook page on Saturday, the journalists – Ruth Marcus and Keshia Jang – are currently missing as the organization has not determined where they are being held.

In the post, the radio station said the journalists, who had gone to COCIN Headquarters in Jos to coverage of the funeral service, had recorded the altercation and posted it on the station’s social media handles – with the video quickly going viral.

According to the post, shortly after, security agents swooped on the journalists and whisked them to an unknown destination.

“The management is trying to verify which of the security agencies are holding them and their location,” the post said.

The radio station insisted that it stands by the decision to post the controversial video.
