Trump Claims Iran’s Navy ‘Obliterated,’ Says 158 Iranian Ships Lie At Bottom Of Sea

United States President Donald Trump has claimed that the naval forces of Iran have been completely obliterated, alleging that 158 Iranian ships now lie at the bottom of the sea following an unspecified military engagement.

In a statement, Trump asserted that U.S. forces deliberately spared Iran’s small number of fast attack vessels, dismissing them as insignificant threats.

He said, “Iran’s Navy is laying at the bottom of the sea, completely obliterated – 158 ships. What we have not hit are their small number of, what they call, “fast attack ships,” because we did not consider them much of a threat. Warning: If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at Sea.”

However, he issued a direct warning, stating that any such vessels approaching what he called a U.S. blockade would be immediately eliminated.

“It is quick and brutal. P.S. 98.2% of Drugs coming into the U.S. by Ocean or Sea have STOPPED! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added.

Tensions between Iran and the United States escalated further after Iranian military official, Ibrahim al-Fiqar, issued a stark warning about an imminent military confrontation in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post shared on X, al-Fiqar claimed that warships were approaching the strategic waterway and vowed a forceful response.

He is the spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, coordinating media and operational messaging for the IRGC and regular army.

“Warships are approaching Hormuz, we will deal with them severely,” he wrote. “If America starts a ground war, we are going to deploy one million of our troops.”

The threat comes amid rising hostilities following the collapse of high-level diplomatic talks between Iran and the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan.

As previously reported, negotiations between both countries ended in a deadlock after over 20 hours of discussions failed to produce any agreement.

Iran maintained a firm stance, particularly on the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil transit route.

In a defiant statement, Iran’s embassy signalled that Tehran rejected U.S. demands outright, declaring that Washington had sought concessions it could not achieve through military means.
