Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and other security outfits, have neutralised 12 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during a series of offensive operations in Borno State.

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the long-range tactical operations were carried out between Aug. 29 and Aug. 30 in Tamsu Ngamdu, Dalakaleri, Gaza and Loskori Kura villages.

According to the sources, troops made contact with the insurgents at Loskori Kura, where 12 of the terrorists were neutralised after a fierce gun battle.

“Six AK-47 rifles, eight magazines loaded with rounds of ammunition, and a cache of assorted drugs were recovered. Some of the terrorists were observed to be receiving treatment from injuries sustained in an earlier encounter with troops the previous day,” the report said.
