Tottenham Hotspur lifted the Europa League trophy after a narrow 1–0 win over Manchester United in a scrappy, high-pressure final in Bilbao.
The game was decided in the 42nd minute through an own goal from Luke Shaw, who deflected Brennan Johnson’s mis-hit attempt into the net.

Ange Postecoglou made defensive changes late on, introducing Kevin Danso and Djed Spence to see out the match. Manchester United, despite enjoying far more possession and completing over twice as many passes, failed to convert their chances.
