Taraba Governor Quits PDP, Joins APC

Agbu Kefas, Taraba State Governor

Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, on Sunday officially quit his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and registered with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Performing the registration ceremony at the T.Y. Danjuma House in Jalingo, Kefas said a public ceremony to formally announce his defection would be scheduled soon.

Nigerian Tribune reports that Kefas is the first governor of Taraba State to defect from the PDP since 1999.

GISTSMATE MEDIA also reports that the governor had earlier stated that his decision to join the APC was to enable him to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and attract development to Taraba State.
