GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has been thrown into deep mourning following the death of his mother, Mrs Sarah Chukwueze, after a brief illness.
The tragic news was made public by the footballer’s brother, David Chukwueze, who shared a series of emotional posts on Instagram announcing the loss and paying tribute to their late mother.
While the family has not disclosed full details surrounding her illness, the posts reflected the depth of grief within the Chukwueze family.
Samuel Chukwueze, who currently plays his club football for Fulham in England, is yet to personally address the loss on his official social media platforms.
However, the messages shared by his brother on Thursday, January 29, confirmed that the family is going through a painful period.
Two days ago, GISTSMATE MEDIA reported that Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, lost his father, Sunday Ndidi following a road accident.
The retired military officer was reportedly involved in an accident in Umunede, Delta State, and was confirmed dead after being rushed to a hospital in Agbor, also in Delta State.
Ndidi’s club, Besiktas, confirmed the incident on Tuesday.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of our footballer Wilfred Ndidi’s esteemed father, Sunday Ndidi, in a fatal traffic accident,” the club said in a statement released via their official X account.
“May Allah grant mercy to the deceased; we extend our condolences to our footballer Wilfred Ndidi, his family, and loved ones.”
