Popular Nigerian Singer, Darlington Achakpo, popularly known as Speed Darlington, Akpi, has alleged that he survived a gunshot attack in Lagos during the early hours of January 26.
The incident reportedly occurred as he was leaving a club in Victoria Island, Lagos state.
In a statement, the performer suggested the attack was an attempt to silence him, saying, “I have not said anything they are already sending k!llers my way. There must be truth in what I am saying”
Speed Darlington posted a video of his damaged car. He said he and his driver heard gunshots and a check later showed that the shots were fired at his car, leaving dents on the body of the car.
Recall that Singer Darlington was released from Kuje Prison in Abuja last week Tuesday after spending weeks in custody.
Darlington was arrested on November 27 during a performance in Owerri, Imo State. He was arrest for alleged defamation fellow singer, Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu.
