Recruitment: CDCFIB Releases Important Updates On CBT

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the computer-based test (CBT) phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Secretary of the board, Maj. Gen. A. M. Jibril (Rtd), on Tuesday.

According to the board, only candidates who have been officially scheduled for the examination will be granted access to the test portal.

Participants are required to strictly follow all examination guidelines to avoid disqualification.

The statement revealed that the CBT will be monitored using artificial intelligence to detect any form of malpractice, third-party interference, or device manipulation throughout the session.

Candidates are advised to ensure they have a stable internet connection, steady power supply, and a suitable device, preferably a laptop.

The board warned that using mobile phones or switching between applications during the test could trigger violation alerts, leading to automatic disqualification.

The board noted that candidates who are disconnected during the test can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped.

“Only candidates who have been officially scheduled will be permitted to log in. All candidates MUST carefully study and adhere to the examination rules to avoid disqualification.
