The 2025 edition of the Platinum Reasoning Contest (#PRC2025) has produced a new generation of national champions in Debate, SpellingZ, and Mathematics, showcasing brilliance, confidence, and intellectual strength among Nigerian students nationwide.
SpellingZ Category: Virtual Brilliance Takes the Crown
In a historic outcome, an online participant from Model Secondary School, Akure, emerged as the overall national winner, proving that excellence knows no boundaries.
PBMS School, Lugbe, Abuja, came in second, while Saint Dominic Secondary School, Benue State, clinched the third position with an impressive performance.
– Mathematics Category: Benue Leads the Numbers Race
The Mathematics category was dominated by SamJosh Best Brain International School, Benue State, whose student was crowned Nigeria’s overall champion. Model Secondary School, Ondo State, took the second place, while Eucharistic Heart of Jesus School, Kubwa, Abuja, proudly secured the third position.
Debate Category: Abuja Schools Shine
Eloquence and critical thinking were on full display in the Debate category, as EHOJ, Kubwa, Abuja, took first place. PBMS, Lugbe, Abuja, followed closely in second, and Living Fountain International School, Abuja, earned third place.
A Transparent and Competitive Edition
The #PRC2025 National Finals have been described by organizers and judges as one of the toughest, most transparent, and highly competitive editions ever held. Participants from across Nigeria are already preparing eagerly for the Africa Level Edition, scheduled for next year.
– Leaders Commend Excellence
The Director of Education, PMGC, Professor D. O. Makinde, commended all contestants for their hard work and urged them to ‘keep up the good work and never settle for less.’ Similarly, the Director of Human Resources, PMGC, Professor T. G. Jayieola, encouraged the winners to continue to uphold the spirit of excellence in their academic and personal pursuits.

The President of PMGC, Mr. Abdulkadir Agboola Gobir Emmanuel, congratulated all winners across Nigeria for their outstanding performances. He further called on school owners to patronize PMGC’s innovative products — including biogas systems, biodigesters, solar solutions, and educational technologies — to help sustain the organization’s developmental projects.
He also appealed to parents in high-profile institutions and companies to support PMGC through sponsorships, noting that the organization aims to become Africa’s leading platform rewarding excellence with strong seven-figure prizes for top achievers.
