The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared a testimony of an encounter he said occurred during one of his trips abroad, where a woman’s scars disappeared after prayers.
In a video that circulated on Sunday, the cleric explained how the incident happened while he was in a foreign city which he deliberately chose not to mention.
“I don’t want to mention the name of the city. I was in a city somewhere abroad. I don’t want to mention the name of the city. And this is a usual subject. I woke up very early in the city, and I went for a walk. I get to a city, I ask them, How safe is your city? How soon can I go out to walk? Because I know I’m not in Redemption City, where I can walk at night,” he said.
According to him, the incident happened while he was returning from the early morning walk.
“So I got up very early and I went for a walk. When I was returning, there was this girl who saw me. ‘Hey, Daddy G.O, you are here?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ ‘God bless you, sir.’ She said, ‘Thank you. Where are you staying at, please? G.O, we have prayed for you.’ I said, ‘God bless you.’ You don’t understand. She pursued me to the hotel where I was staying,” he said.
Pastor Adeboye said the situation became uncomfortable when the woman insisted on following him into the lift.
“Finally, I got to the lift to go up. I said, ‘Now, please, sister, don’t get me into trouble. Imagine somebody seeing me in a lift with a beautiful lady. They won’t know whether I’m going up with you or I’m coming down.’ I said, ‘I can’t go. Okay, tell me your problem so I can pray for you,’” he said.
He said the woman refused to explain and insisted that he would only understand if they went up together.
“She said, ‘I can’t show you.’ I said go, she said, ‘I can’t go. You don’t know what I’m talking about. Go into the lift. We’ll go together.’ Long story short, she followed me by force into my room,” he said.
The cleric said he immediately prayed for divine help when they got into the room.
“I said, ‘God, help me today.’ When she pulled up her dress, and what I saw, I almost screamed. Scars all over the body,” he said.
He added that the woman explained what she had been going through.
“She said, ‘They come every night to beat me.’ Scars as if somebody had been tortured again and again and again,” he said.
Pastor Adeboye said he then cried to God and prayed intensely for her healing.
“I cried to God. I reminded the Almighty God that every plant He has not planted can’t be rooted up. I prayed so loud, I couldn’t care less. Anybody who wants to come in to see, come and see what the enemy has done to somebody. I cried to the Almighty God. ‘This is your daughter. My Father, my God, something must be done today,’” he said.
According to him, the outcome of the prayers was immediate.
“I thanked God before she left the room. All the scars were gone,” he said.
He extended the prayer to others listening.
“I pray in the name that’s above every other name, every scar of the enemy in your life will disappear tonight. Everything in your life that you did not bring from them.”
