The Oyo State lawmaker representing Ibadan North State Constituency I at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Oyo State, particularly those in Ibadan North, as well as across Nigeria and around the world on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In her goodwill message, Hon. Comforter Olajide congratulated the Muslim Ummah for their spiritual devotion, discipline, and commitment demonstrated throughout the fasting period.
She noted that Ramadan is a sacred time of reflection, sacrifice, and compassion, which fosters unity, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose among believers.
The lawmaker urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of love, tolerance, generosity, and humility imbibed during Ramadan, emphasizing that these values are essential for building a harmonious and progressive society.
She specifically encouraged residents of Ibadan North and Oyo State to continue to live in peace and uphold the spirit of unity beyond the festive season.
Hon. Olajide further called on citizens to continue to pray for the peace, stability, and development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large, while also encouraging the faithful to use the festive period to strengthen bonds with family, neighbors, and the less privileged.
She concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration, praying that Almighty Allah accepts their acts of worship and grants them abundant blessings, good health, and prosperity.
