Nafisa Abdullah, a 17-year-old student from Yobe State, Nigeria, has emerged as the worldβs best in English Language at the 2025 TeenEagle English Language Skills Competition held in London, United Kingdom.
She topped over 20,000 participants from 69 countries in the UK Global Final of the competition.
Nafisa represented Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College, Yobe State.
A family member, Malam Hassan Salihu, described her performance as a source of pride to the family, the state, and the country.
βOur daughterβs global success wouldnβt have been possible without Governor Buniβs extraordinary support for education in the state,β he said.
Salihu also acknowledged the role of the schoolβs management and teachers, stating that their efforts contributed to the victory.
Nafisaβs win came despite competition from countries with native English speakers.
