GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that a Nigerian man from the northern part of the country has been reportedly killed at the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
The man whose name is not provided was killed after joining Russian war to fight their neighbor in ongoing conflict.
Zagazola Makama, a counter insurgency reporter broke the sad news sad on X formerly Twitter.
With his pictures, He wrote:
“Sad
He left his family in Northern Nigeria to Join Russia Army to Fight Ukraine. He was unfortunately killed in the battle field.”

Recall that in July 2025, a Nigerian man, Kehinde Oluwagbemileke, who was fighting for the Russian military in the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, was captured by the Ukrainian forces.
Oluwagbemileke was apprehended by the Freedom of Russia Legion, a unit composed of Russian fighters supporting Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s “I Want to Live” project.
The 29-year-old was captured in the Zaporizhzhia region after serving with Russian forces for five months.
Oluwagbemileke had been living in Russia for four years before his arrest on drug-related charges, the project said.
He was said to have agreed to join Russia’s military campaign in exchange for a reduced sentence instead of serving a prison sentence under Article 228 of the Russian Criminal Code.
