Senator Ned Nwoko has confirmed that the viral medical report suggesting his wife, Regina Daniels, has been battling severe substance abuse is true.
GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the document from Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja indicated that the actress was diagnosed with a substance use disorder and, prior to the marital crisis, placed on a home-based detox programme starting on 24 September 2025.
The document, sighted by our correspondent, was signed by the hospital management and the Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina.
However, the hospital on Thursday issued a statement distancing itself from the report, stating that it did not emanate from them.
Ned Nwoko, in a statement issued on Saturday by his media team, insisted that the viral reports are genuine.
The lawmaker explained that the hospital management merely denied leaking the documents but “did not deny authoring the report”.
He said, “A medical report concerning Regina Nwoko has been circulating online. The reports are genuine. The rehabilitation center only clarified that it did not publish or circulate the documents.
“They did not deny authoring the report; the concern is the leak itself. The public is encouraged to read the full report because they explained the situation clearly and directly.
“Both the toxicology report and the Serenity Hospital reports confirm the presence of the same substances, all at levels that pose serious health risks.
“Marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates at extremely elevated levels and alcohol at a critically dangerous level”.
