At least twelve (12) Students Union Government (SUG) Presidents have called for postponement of Oyo State JCC Election over close timing with examination activities of most schools in the state.
In the letter addressed to Convention Planning Committee Chairman, the Presidents said there was no due consideration for the academic engagements before fixing of the date.
SUG Presidents fondly called Senators in NANS also noted that any election conducted without their presence will not be recognized.

PETITION AND NOTICE OF NON-PARTICIPATION IN THE SCHEDULED NANS JCC OYO STATE CONVENTION
Dear Sir,
We, the undersigned Senators across Oyo State, write to express our utmost dissatisfaction and firm objection to the scheduled date of the forthcoming NANS JCC Oyo State Convention.
It is both alarming and unacceptable that a date of such importance was fixed without due consideration for the academic engagements of the majority of Senators.
As it stands, over two-thirds (2/3) of Senators are currently involved in ongoing examinations within their respective institutions, making attendance practically impossible.
As duly elected representatives, we hold a responsibility not only to the union but also to our academic institutions and the student bodies we represent. We cannot abandon our examinations at such short notice, as this would be detrimental to our academic progress and contrary to the trust reposed in us by our constituents.
In view of the above, we hereby make it unequivocally clear that Senators across Oyo State will not be present at the convention if it proceeds on the currently scheduled date. Any convention conducted in the absence of the majority of Senators lacks legitimacy, credibility, and democratic validity.
Furthermore, we emphasize that Senators constitute the core voting body of this convention, and no credible election or convention can be conducted without our participation and consent.
We therefore strongly demand the immediate postponement and rescheduling of the convention to a date that accommodates the academic realities of Senators.
Failure to heed this demand will leave us with no option but to formally dissociate ourselves from the outcomes of such a convention and take further necessary actions in defense of democratic principles.
We urge your office to act with wisdom, fairness, and respect for due process.
