The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Oyo state chapter has called for justice after a speeding vehicle allegedly killed Student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Iseyin Campus.
The student, simply identified as Darasimi was reportedly crushed to death while she was on her way to fill her cooking gas cylinder, GISTSMATE MEDIA gathered.
Our correspondent gathered that she was pronounced dead by medical personnel at a hospital after people tried to save her life.
Reacting to the sad development, NANS Oyo has called on the Nigeria Police Force to swift into action and make sure justice is served.
NANS also extend condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased.

Condolence Message and Call for Calm Following the Incident at LAUTECH Iseyin Campus
The attention of the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC), Oyo State Axis has been drawn to the tragic incident that occurred this morning involving one of our dear students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Iseyin Campus, Miss Darasimi, a 200-level student.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Miss Darasimi. Her untimely passing is a devastating loss to the entire student community, and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
We commend the maturity, calmness, and sense of responsibility demonstrated by our students in the wake of this painful event. The leadership of NANS JCC Oyo State strongly urges all students to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding during the ongoing demonstrations and expressions of solidarity. Let us honor the memory of our late colleague by maintaining peace and unity while demanding justice.
We also call on the Nigerian Police Force, particularly the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Iseyin Division Command, to approach this case with utmost professionalism, transparency, and civility. We expect a thorough investigation to ensure that justice is served promptly and fairly.
The leadership of NANS JCC Oyo State, under my watch, remains proactive and fully engaged with relevant authorities to ensure that due process is followed and that the rights and welfare of students are protected at all times.
