Naira Marley Warns Youth Against Dangers Of Excessive Sports Betting

Singer and record label boss, Naira Marley, has cautioned young Nigerians against relying on football betting as a means of livelihood.

In a recent post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the artiste stressed that sports betting is not a sustainable source of income.

“Football bet no be work bro. Please stop before they finish you,” he warned.

Naira Marley further urged young people to have confidence in their abilities, adding, “You are far too smart to be the only thing standing in your way.”

His advice came amid the growing popularity of sports betting in Nigeria, where many youths, battling unemployment and economic hardship, turn to it in hopes of quick gains.

Experts, however, continue to warn about the risks of addiction, financial ruin, and damaged relationships linked to excessive betting.
