Internet sensational, Ushie Rita Uguamaye popularly known as Corper Raye has celebrated a major milestone just months after completing her NYSC program, splashing millions of naira on her first car – a sleek Mercedes-Benz CLA.
Sharing photos of her new ride on social media, the influencer expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the achievement.
She captioned the post: “I prayed for my first, not my last, and God delivered. 🙏🏽 Last month, I got my first car, and I’m still over the moon! 💃🏽 Grateful for God’s blessings and grace every day. 🥰”
Raye’s post has since attracted waves of congratulatory messages from fans and fellow content creators, many praising her for her dedication and success so early in her career.
Raye became Internet sensational and attracted public attention after a TikTok video in which she criticised the Tinubu administration and described Lagos as “smelling” went viral. She later issued an apology after facing backlash over the video.
Her comments drew support from some politicians and activists, including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and human rights advocate Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore and other netizens claimed that the delay in issuing her certificate was politically motivated. The NYSC, however, insists the decision is strictly procedural.
