The recent nomination of Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd), CFR, PhD, as Ambassador-designate has sparked more than celebration, but ignited renewed hope, unity, trust and confidence across Kano State and beyond. Lt. General Dambazau also bears the traditional title of Baraden Kano, a unique title in the heritage of Kano Emirate specially reserved for a person deeply trusted to protect, and safeguard the norms a values of the emirate including welfare of the people.
As Baraden Kano, he carries a title historically bestowed only upon individuals whose strength, wisdom, compassion and loyalty to the emirate are unquestionable.
