Veteran Nollywood actress Joke Silva is mourning the loss of her elder brother, John Olabiyi Silva, who died on August 29, 2025, at the age of 72.
Silva confirmed the news in a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, paying tribute to her late brother with heartfelt words that reflected their close bond.

Her brotherās death comes at a time when she has faced other personal challengesāmost notably, caring for her husband, Olu Jacobs, who has been battling dementia in recent years.
