The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Engagement, Hon Sulaimon Musa Olalekan met with community leaders across Iwo town to discuss governance, development, and the future of Osun State.

‎The engagement held in Iwo brought together traditional leaders, youth representatives, women leaders, and opinion molders from Iwo Central, Iwo West and Iwo East, The focus was clear, Review ongoing projects, Listen to concerns, Strengthen grassroots coordination.
‎
‎During the meeting, leaders assessed the performance of Gov. Ademola Adeleke since he assumed office in 2022. They referenced road rehabilitation projects, payment of salary backlogs inherited from the previous administration, and rural infrastructure interventions.
‎
‎Several speakers noted that regular salary payments have improved local economic activity. Traders in Iwo reported more stable patronage. Youth leaders acknowledged increased inclusion in state programs. Community representatives also cited ongoing road works linking Iwo to neighboring towns as critical for trade and mobility.
‎
‎After deliberations, the leaders unanimously declared their support for Gov. Adeleke’s re-election bid. They described their position as performance based. According to them, continuity will protect ongoing projects and ensure completion of current development plans.
‎
‎Hon. Sulaimon emphasized direct communication between government and communities. He stated that feedback from towns like Iwo shapes policy direction. He urged residents to stay engaged, monitor projects, and hold leaders accountable.

‎The meeting closed with a joint commitment. Community leaders pledged to mobilize support across wards in Iwo. They affirmed that sustained development requires political stability and consistent leadership.

‎The engagement forms part of a broader outreach strategy aimed at strengthening ties between the state government and grassroots stakeholders across Osun State.
