Nigerian content creator Kofanki has opened up about her unusual experience with Valentine’s Day, revealing that she has never given or received any Valentine’s gift due to not being in a romantic relationship.
The social media personality shared her thoughts with Potpourri while reflecting on the significance of love and how the annual celebration has evolved over time.
According to Kofanki, true love goes beyond romance and should reflect unconditional care and commitment toward loved ones. Although she is currently single, she noted that she expresses genuine love toward her parents, siblings and close friends, stressing that affection should not be limited to romantic partners alone.
Speaking on Valentine’s Day traditions, she argued that the celebration originally embraced all forms of love but has gradually shifted toward focusing mainly on romantic relationships.
She encouraged people to use the occasion to celebrate love among family members, friends and other meaningful relationships in their lives.
Kofanki also used the opportunity to appreciate her parents, especially her mother, whom she described as a pillar of unwavering support during difficult times. She acknowledged her father’s role as well, highlighting the importance of parental love in shaping her life.
Despite her current relationship status, the content creator expressed optimism about finding love in the future.
She described her ideal Valentine’s Day as a quiet, intimate celebration at home filled with candles, flowers, thoughtful gifts and a romantic movie night, adding that she hopes to experience such moments when she eventually finds the right partner.
