The lawmaker representing Ibadan North constituency 1, Hon. Dr. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide has sympathized with the families affected by Children’s unfair stampede at Bashorun, Ibadan, the state capital.
In an heartfelt letter, Hon. Comforter, who is also the Chairman, Oyo State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development said the heartbreaking event has left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone.
She also prayed and wished that the memories of the loved ones lost in the sad event continue to be a blessing to deceased families.

Ibadan, Oyo State.
Dear Families and Loved Ones,
I am writing to express my deepest condolences and commiseration to you over the tragic loss of your dear ones in the unfortunate incident that occurred at Basorun, Ibadan, yesterday, December 18th, 2024. This heartbreaking event has left an indelible mark on our hearts, and I can only imagine the unbearable pain and grief you must be going through.
As the Chairman of the Oyo State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development, I want to assure you that we share in your sorrow and are committed to supporting you in any way we can. The loss of precious lives, especially children, is a devastating blow that no words can adequately comfort. However, I pray that the memories of their smiles, laughter, and love will continue to be a source of strength and inspiration to you.
In these trying times, I urge you to hold on to hope and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. May the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and well-wishers be a source of comfort to you. As you navigate this dark period, remember that you are not alone, and we will do everything in our power to support you.
