A house agent has been reportedly remanded in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital over alleged seven hundred thousand naira (#700,000) house fraud.
According to popular freelance reporter, Tosin Media Concept (TMC), the agent defrauded a National Youth Corps Service (NYSC) Member.
He said the corper reached out to the agent for a house and they agreed on #700,000 total package. On the day of inspection, the agent gave excuses and told the corper he has spent the money on betting and some other personal debts.
According to TMC, the agent told the victim boldly that there’s nothing that can be done to it.
The victim was advised to seek legal action and after which he was arrested and remanded yesterday.
TMC wrote:
This particular house agent collected ₦700,000 from a corper in Ibadan.
On the scheduled day to inspect the apartment again and collect the keys, the agent began giving excuses and became evasive, only to later confess that he had used part of the money to settle his personal debts and squandered the rest on sports betting, boldly claiming there was nothing the victim could do about it.
The corper reached out, and I advised legal action. He has now been arrested, charged to court, and was remanded yesterday at Agodi Prison. Another Win
