Yesterday was a memorable and historic occasion for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 5 as party leaders and members warmly received the Ibadan North PDP Chairman, Alhaji Comrade Mustapha, alongside his executive members, during a well-attended ward meeting held in the City of Power.
The Ward 5 PDP Chairman, Hon. Okanlawon Tunde, played host to the visiting executives, with the event graced by the presence of the Member representing Ibadan North Constituency I at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide. Other notable leaders in attendance included Hon. S.O.J. (Soji Alade), Hon. 30/30, Hon. O.B.J., Mama Gold, and numerous party faithfuls.
In her remarks, Hon. Comforter expressed profound appreciation for the exemplary leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, whose people-oriented governance continues to strengthen the PDP and deepen democratic dividends across Oyo State.
She also commended the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Seun Olufade (ONALA), for providing a conducive political environment that allows the party to thrive and record sustained progress under his watch.
Furthermore, Hon. Comforter specially applauded the visionary and inclusive leadership of the Ibadan North PDP Chairman, Alhaji Comrade Mustapha Boluwatife, and his executive members for deeming it fit to embark on a thank-you visitation tour across all wards (1–12), describing the gesture as a testament to unity, humility, and grassroots engagement within the party.
The meeting also featured donations made to the party and ward, both in cash and gift items, further demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and commitment to the growth of the PDP at the grassroots level.
She also used the medium to warmly wish the Ward 5 Zonal Chairman, Mr. Gbadamosi Hammed, a happy birthday, praying for good health, long life, and greater service to the party and humanity.
The meeting reaffirmed the unity, strength, and collective resolve of the PDP in Ward 5 and Ibadan North at large, as the party continues to consolidate its base ahead of future
political engagements.
