Grace Ononiwu Becomes First Black African DG Of Legal Services In UK

Grace Chidozie Ononiwu, CBE, has made history as the first Black African appointed as Director General of Legal Services in the United Kingdom.

A distinguished solicitor and seasoned Chief Crown Prosecutor, she currently serves within the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), where her outstanding contributions continue to shape the legal system.

Her appointment further highlights the global impact of Nigerian professionals.

Known for her resilience, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to justice, Professor Ononiwu stands as a powerful inspiration to aspiring legal practitioners, especially young Nigerians pursuing careers both locally and internationally.
