Former U.S. Navy Personnel Oyebade Intensifies Legal Battle, To Involve FBI, CIA, DHS Over Alleged NDC Senatorial Ticket Fraud

Former United States Navy personnel and Ondo Central Senatorial aspirant on the platform of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), Hon. Dr. Adeniran Oyebade, has intensified his legal battle over the party’s senatorial ticket, announcing plans to seek criminal investigations by multiple United States law enforcement agencies if his demands are not met.

Addressing journalists, Dr. Oyebade alleged that he was fraudulently denied the NDC ticket for the Ondo Central Senatorial District despite completing all the party’s nomination requirements.

He maintained that he was the only aspirant who purchased the party’s nomination form, underwent screening, and participated in all activities leading to the selection process.

According to him, the party later submitted the name of Mr. Gbenga Falaye to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) without conducting a valid primary election.

Oyebade alleged that Falaye neither purchased nomination forms nor appeared before the party’s screening committee or participated in the party’s internal processes.

Dr. Oyebade further alleged that Mr. Falaye, whom he described as an illegal immigrant and drug dealer residing in the United States, fraudulently secured the party’s ticket through unlawful means.

He also accused Falaye of sending money to members of the NDC National Working Committee to facilitate the alleged fraudulent upload of his name to the INEC portal without participating in the screening exercise or a primary election.

The former U.S. Navy personnel disclosed that he has already instituted a โ‚ฆ5 billion lawsuit against the NDC National Working Committee, the party’s Ondo State leadership, and other individuals over the alleged irregularities, claiming fraud, conspiracy, and violations of both the party’s constitution and Nigeria’s Electoral Act.

Dr. Oyebade reiterated that he has given the NDC and Mr. Gbenga Falaye until August 10, 2026, to voluntarily withdraw the senatorial candidature.

He warned that failure to comply with the ultimatum would compel him to petition multiple United States law enforcement and security agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), requesting criminal investigations into what he described as alleged fraud connected to the nomination process.

Oyebade also stated that he would pursue additional legal measures, including seeking official immigration and travel records to support his claims regarding Falaye’s alleged absence from Nigeria during the party’s nomination process.

He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and relevant Nigerian law enforcement agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the emergence of the NDC candidate and take appropriate action against anyone found culpable.
