GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that Chief Timothy Agboola, a veteran Nigerian presenter and comedian popularly known by his stage name “įŗørįŗ¹kįŗ¹ ni Shop,” has passed away.
Reports of his death emerged on March 11, 2026, with many in the entertainment industry and the Ijesa community worldwide mourning the loss of the legendary icon.
He was widely celebrated for his unique comedic style and significant contributions to Nigerian broadcasting and theatre.
Best known as “įŗørįŗ¹kįŗ¹ ni Shop,” a name that became a household brand in Yoruba comedy and radio presenting. He was a prominent figure in the Ijesa community, often described as a “Baba Oloye Repete” (a great chief) whose passing is seen as the end of an era for the “Ijesa World Wide”.
His death was announced in a statement by the Corporate Communications Secretary of the Association of Nigerian Broadcasters, Akolade Adekola, on behalf of the associationās National President, Abdulrazaq Abdulganiyu.
The association extended condolences to his family, members of ANBROAD, the Forum of Elders, and the Lagos State chapter, describing his passing as a great loss to the broadcasting and entertainment industry.
