Former Migos rapper, Offset has reportedly been shot during an incident at a Florida casino on Monday night.
Kiari Kendrell Cephus also known as Offset, was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
According to the police, âthe shooting occurred around 7 p.m. in a valet area of the casino.â
Officers were already nearby and responded immediately, quickly containing the situation.
In a statement, the Seminole Police Department confirmed that two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident and that investigations are ongoing.
Authorities also reassured the public that the situation is under control.
âSeminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal,â the police statement said.
Offset was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
His representative confirmed that the rapper is âstable and receiving medical care while being closely monitored.â
Offset is a member of the Atlanta rap trio Migos, which included Quavo and Takeoff.
The group effectively split after Kirsnick Khari Ball, also known as Takeoff, was shot and killed in Houston in 2022.
The rapper was previously married to Cardi B from 2017 to 2022, and the couple share three children.
