GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the magistrate court sitting in Ijebu-Ode has struck out alleged self-Kidnapping case against a freelance journalist, Oshibanjo Oluwatosin ‘TMC.
The case was filled before the court on October 2024, our correspondent gathered.
TMC was detained by the Nigeria Police Force in Ogun state after he was alleged of kidnapping self, and spreading false information on October 13, 2024.
He was then charged and remanded in Ijebu-Ode correctional centre.
TMC remained in prison for over 53 days due to stringent bail conditions, but regained freedom after meeting bail conditions on Monday 23rd of December 2024, and was finally released next day.
Today, October 20, 2025, the judge has struck out the case due to a lack of evidence against TMC over the past nine months of hearings.
Reacting to the judgement, the journalist said the decision serves to inform the public, who have been misinformed about TMC, of the current situation.
TMC furthered that his integrity remains intact and will continue to advocate for justice.
