Intelligence sources revealed to Zagazola Makama that Turjiās unexpected gesture to release his captives is a direct response to the relentless pressure exerted by the Nigerian Armed Forces in their campaigns, Operation Hadarin Daji and Operation Forest Sanity.
With recent airstrikes and ground offensives relentlessly targeting his strongholds in Fakai, Shinkafi, and surrounding areas, Turjiās forces have been considerably weakened, leaving them with little choice but to retreat.
