Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has publicly called out filmmaker Bola Akande following the tragic death of rising actor Ola Lawal during a movie shoot.
Reports indicate that Lawal died while on set for Akande’s production.
In response, Johnson took to Instagram to express his grief and disappointment over the filmmaker’s silence since the incident.
He clarified that he isn’t holding Akande directly responsible for Lawal’s death but insisted she should acknowledge the tragedy, present her side of the story, and support the late actor’s family.
“The father feels disrespected,” Johnson said, alleging that Akande requested the account details of Ola’s brother shortly after his death, which the family perceived as insensitive.
Johnson praised veteran actor Segun Okeowo for being the only person from the production who has shown consistent empathy.
“We demand justice for OLA’s dignity and a proper burial. We’ll keep pushing for accountability,” he added.
