#EndBadGovernance Protest: Police Debunk K¡lling Of Teenager In Abuja

The FCT Police Command on Saturday debunked reports alleging that its operatives killed a teenager during the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest in Abuja.

Reports alleged that police operatives killed a yet-to-be identified teenager in Kubwa while protesting on August 3rd.

But the Command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, issued a statement, saying its operatives are not responsible for the killing of the teenager.

She said the operatives deployed to the axis were not issued lethal arms but only anti-riot equipment not capable of causing the death of the teenager.

According to Adeh, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, has ordered that an immediate investigation be conducted to ascertain the remote cause of death of the deceased just as he calls on well-meaning residents to provide the command with necessary information to aid the investigation.
