A dispute between two brothers over mango harvesting on a farm in Benishiekh, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State, has ended in tragedy, with one brother dead and the other hospitalised following a violent clash.
Sources report that the incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 9 am when 40-year-old Kajdi Kachalla and his younger brother, 28-year-old Baba Goni Kachalla, engaged in a physical altercation at their mango plantation in the Ajari Area of Benishiekh.
During the fight, both men sustained severe head and facial injuries from blows dealt with wooden sticks.
Police responded promptly and transported both individuals to the General Hospital in Benishiekh.
Tragically, the elder brother, Kajdi, was pronounced dead upon arrival, while Baba Goni remains in medical care.
The body of the deceased was subsequently released to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
