A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reportedly fallen victim to a scam at Computer Village after being tricked into buying what was believed to be an iPhone.
According to reports, the corps member purchased the device from a seller in the busy Lagos tech hub, only to later discover that the box contained fufu instead of a phone.
The incident has since gone viral, with many Nigerians expressing frustration over the recurring cases of fraud in popular gadget markets.
While some sympathised with the victim, others used the moment to warn buyers to stay alert, especially when dealing with unfamiliar sellers or making expensive purchases.

Computer Village, widely known as one of the country’s biggest markets for mobile phones and accessories, has often come under scrutiny over fraudulent activities, despite efforts by authorities and market leaders to address the issue.
