Patrol vehicles were positioned strategically to control movement and prevent any potential escalation.
The demonstrators, including civil society groups and pro-democracy activists, were gathering to voice concerns over worsening economic conditions and rising insecurity under President Bola Tinubuβs administration.
In Lagos, protesters gathered under the Ikeja Bridge, chanting solidarity songs and holding placards to demand accountability and improved living conditions.
Also members of the TakeItBack movement in Akure, Ondo State, gathered at Cathedral Junction, urging citizens to become more socially conscious and to assert their democratic rights.
In Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, protesters gathered at Mokola.
