Dangote Petroleum Refinery has dismissed reports claiming it is shutting down, stating that production remains ongoing, stable, and uninterrupted.
According to a statement made available to X by the company, the refinery continues to supply between 40 and 50 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) daily through January and February, depending on market demand.
On January 4, the refinery produced 50 million litres of PMS and evacuated 48 million litres, with current stock levels sufficient to cover more than 20 days of national consumption.
According to the refinery, routine maintenance is being carried out on selected units, but this has not affected overall output. Production of PMS, diesel, and Jet A-1 continues through fully operational processing units.
The refinery added that it maintains an ex-gantry price of N699 per litre, which is available to all marketers and bulk consumers without discrimination. It encouraged stakeholders to support locally refined, high-quality petroleum products.
The company described reports suggesting a shutdown as false and misleading, urging Nigerians to disregard unverified claims and rely on credible information.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery said it remains committed to steady supply, price stability, and Nigeriaās energy security.
